Monaiq handles licensing and entitlements — not payment processing. You connect your own payment provider (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) and retain full control over billing. Monaiq subscription plans are billed via credit card.
Is there a free trial?
The Starter plan is free forever — no trial needed. The Pro plan includes a 14-day free trial so you can explore every feature before committing.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated for the remainder of your cycle.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. During that window you can reactivate your account and pick up where you left off. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.
Are there API rate limits?
The Starter plan includes 100 license validations per month. The Pro plan includes unlimited validations with no API rate limits.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Starter plan is completely free and requires no credit card. You only need payment details if you upgrade to Pro.

Can I use Monaiq with any payment provider?
Yes. Monaiq is fully payment-agnostic. Connect Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, or any custom provider. Monaiq manages licensing and entitlements; your payment provider handles transactions.
What counts as a license validation?
Each API call to check a license status counts as one validation. Offline verification using cached cryptographic signatures does not count toward your limit.
Does the Pro plan include the MCP server?
Yes. Pro includes full MCP server access for AI agent integration. Your AI assistants can create products, manage licenses, and enforce entitlements — all through the Model Context Protocol.
